Introduction

 

It is my pleasure to announce that the 3rd Iran Mines and Mining Industries Summit” Development &Investment”(IMIS 2018) would take place by Independent Inc. for Contemporary International Conferences & Fairs(IICIC)and under the patronage of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization(IMIDRO) on 2-3 July, 2018 at IRIB International Conference Center in Tehran-Iran.
According to major goals of Iran’s 6th Five Year Development Plan (2016-2021), the annual average growth rate was set at 8%. As per this plan, mines and mining industries sector should grow 12% annually and the following measures should be mainly taken into consideration for comprehensive development of these sectors which would definitely play a pivotal role for achieving the targeted goals of our development plan, re-flourishing of Iran’s national economy and diversifying from its oil and gas sectors:
• Investment development and presenting the macro projects for attracting international financing
• Completion of necessary infrastructures and improving the technical know-how in mineral exploration and mining industries such as preparing the basic geological maps for identification and exploration of all mining capacities and potentials throughout Iran’s territory.
• Enhancing the productivity and efficiency in these sectors
• Logic developing of mines and mining industries while observing environmental requirements and increasing the competitiveness
• Completion the supply chain in mines & mining industries and improvement of business environment
• Strengthening the contribution of private sector, international companies and financers
• Encouraging the exports of mines and mining industries’ high value added products
Iran enjoys several significant potentials and advantages at national level, which would enable our country to achieve a high annual growth rate consisting abundant & untapped mineral and energy recourses, a relatively untouched market of 80 million population, access to international water ways, a developed infrastructure of roads, railways, ports, power supply and telecommunication network, together with foreign investment friendly laws and regulations; all of which make Iran a particularly attractive country for international investors and financers.

IMIS2018 with support of the Government, Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and IMIDRO, cordially welcomes all national and international investors, mining companies, mining machinery companies, consulting companies, technical and engineering companies, contractors, banks & financial institutions, insurance companies and other relevant companies and organizations to take part actively at this significant event for accessing to first-hand information on Iran Mines and Mining Industry’s capacities, potentials and projects, familiarizing with relevant procedures for getting involved in new projects, conducting market surveys, exploring the investment and cooperation opportunities, holding face to face meeting with Iranian high ranking officials, senior managers and experts and possibly establishing joint cooperation with their Iranian counterparts.
